Born in Lares, Puerto Rico, JoA is a self-taught contemporary artist who paints from the heart — turning memory, emotion, and the beauty of her island into work meant to be felt, not just admired.
“Painting is a process, and so is healing. It takes me somewhere with no rules and no limits — a place where my mind is finally free.”
She works in acrylics, watercolor, and drawing across canvas, paper, and reclaimed cardboard, beginning every piece not with a plan, but with a feeling.
